Between 11 – 30 March 2019 Aquafit again took up the challenge to Move for a Better world in a global campaign from equipment provider Technogym to fight inactivity and sedentary lifestyles across the globe. 2019 has been Aquafit’s best year yet…
4,217,235 MOVES later, Let’s Move 2019 has come to an end and it’s been our biggest year yet!
“Our total was over 4 million moves,” said Kristen Green, Aquafit’s Executive Manager.
“We achieved nearly 40 per cent more moves than last year, with more members engaged in supporting our local community. Finishing 15th in the world out of 1,373 participating clubs is an achievement we are incredibly proud of” said Kristen.
As a result of our efforts, Thomas Reddall High School will be the beneficiary of $3,000 of Technogym equipment.
Special mention also must go to the wonderful support from our Corporate Teams – Marsden’s ladies & Mater Dei who made a huge contribution to our total.
Thank you to everyone involved, we are so grateful to have such a strong sense of community getting behind events and challenges like this. This sense of community is really what sets Aquafit apart – we couldn’t have done this without our members and local community.
This is the 5th year Aquafit has taken part in the challenge and are proud to be contributed over $75,000 of Technogym gym equipment to Ambarvale High School, St Patrick’s College, and Magdalene Catholic High School. This is a great way of supporting schools and community, but importantly, teaching young people to embrace a more active lifestyle.
